Bob Spieth Fmr. COO of Qurate Retail Group and Zulily, Joins Service to School Board of Directors

December 16, 2020– Service to School (S2S) is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Spieth to its Board of Directors. Bob brings with him vast expertise garnered from years of experience in retail, logistics, consulting, and the military.

Serving in leadership roles in the logistics and retail industries, Bob was previously COO at Qurate Retail Group and at Zulily, with responsibility for all operations including supply chain, logistics, and customer experience. Prior to that Bob was President at OHL (now Geodis) leading the Contract Logistics business unit. Over his 14 years there, he helped build it from a small regional company to a $1.2 billion company with a global presence. Earlier in his career, Bob served with Mckinsey & Company and as an Officer in the U.S. Army.  Bob earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from Princeton University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Even more impressively, his achievements in business are matched by his generosity and his caring for our military service members and veterans. Bob will serve on S2S’s Board of Directors as they continue their work transforming outcomes for veterans seeking higher education and increasing access to exceptional academic programs.

Since 2011, S2S has ensured transitioning servicemembers and veterans are applying and gaining admission to the country’s best undergrad, business, law, and graduate programs so that they may best prepare for their next chapter of leadership.
