Georgetown University Law Center is proud to announce its partnership with Service to School’s VetLink program, which expands opportunities and access for highly qualified veterans transitioning to higher education.

According to Georgetown Law Dean of Admissions Andy Cornblatt, Georgetown Law will seek to increase the number of veterans enrolled at Georgetown Law through its new partnership with S2S.

“Georgetown Law is delighted to welcome veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and is enthusiastic to grow our already sizable and wonderful veteran community. And we’re one hundred percent committed to helping the men and women who have served our country with what they need, whether that is academic support, a vibrant community, and specialized career services — all things at which Georgetown Law excels,” said Dean Cornblatt. “Our partnership with Service to School reflects Georgetown’s commitment to expanding access and opportunity for student veterans. Veterans bring so much to our classrooms and our community, and are a part of what makes Georgetown Law such a special place.”

Recognizing that many veterans have professional and family responsibilities, Georgetown Law offers both full- and part-time JD programs noted Dean Cornblatt. The part-time Evening Program has proven especially popular with veteran students at Georgetown Law. Dean Cornblatt further noted that Georgetown Law is proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

“Georgetown Law has a distinguished history of embracing public service and preparing future leaders committed to the greater good,” said Jim Selbe, Chief Operating Officer of Service to School. “We look forward to supporting Georgetown Law’s commitment to creating and sustaining a veteran-inclusive campus and community.”

Founded in 2011 by three Army veterans and an admissions expert, S2S has grown into a  national nonprofit that connects military veterans and service members with mentors and resources during the veteran’s journey to and through higher ed. Their work has transformed what is accessible for student veterans and ensures they are being admitted to and attending the nation’s best colleges and graduate schools.
