Why did you decide to pursue your school? was attracted to Amherst College because of the small class sizes, open curriculum, and institutional support of veteran students.

How has your experience as an Ambassador been? It has been wonderful! It has been a very fulfilling experience and I have learned a lot from the applicants!

Celeste’s Veteran applicant shared some inspiring words on the impacts of Celeste’s mentorship: “Celeste has been the push I needed to really see the value that I bring to a classroom. Her encouragement and guidance not only helped with school admission, it helped with how to direct my life even outside of college. She has been a fantastic resource!” – Terren Wise, Brown University 2026

Celeste’s advice to veterans considering pursuing higher education

There are so many great resources for veterans (including S2S!) that you should seek out all of them! Not just to apply to school, but also to help you determine what you want to get out of school and with future goals. Never feel that you have to go it alone!
