Originally from New Jersey (you’ve probably heard of it, its kind of a big deal), Ben enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves in 2006 and served as Mortarman, eventually reaching the rank of Sergeant. Over the next 8 years, he completed a tour in Iraq, volunteered as a public defender’s investigator in Washington, D.C., deployed to Italy and Uganda in support of Operation Enduring Freedom-Africa, and earned a Bachelors of Art in History-Political Science from Rutgers University. In 2015, Ben received his J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law. He currently works at a Manhattan firm where he specializes in employee benefits, executive compensation, and taxation.
