Alexander Hydrean

Alex grew up in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Following graduation in 2010 from Cornell University with a B.S. in earth systems engineering, he was commissioned into the U.S. Navy where he served as a submarine officer and later as a nuclear arms control inspection team leader in the U.S. and Russia. He separated from active duty in 2018 and transitioned to the U.S. Navy Reserves where he continues to serve. Alex is currently pursuing a Master in Public Affairs (MPA) at Princeton University with the intent to start a career in clean energy and environmental policy.  He also completed a Masters in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University while on active duty. Alex enjoys the outdoors, exercise, travel, and spending time with his fellow Navy veteran wife, Rebecca, daughter, Rosemary, and their dog, Sourdough.
