Alexander Wilson was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and spent the next 16 years growing up in seven different countries throughout South America and Asia. He moved to the US for his last two years of high school, then began his studies at the University of Texas at Austin. There he majored in geological sciences with a focus on petroleum. From 2009 to 2011 he worked for a drilling company in the Gulf of Mexico, where he led a team of specialized field geoscientists. In 2012 he switched gears and answered the call to serve by enlisting in the Army. There he worked as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant at 5th SFG(A), where he deployed to Iraq once and Syria twice. He completed his time in service in 2018 and is now at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business pursuing his MBA.
