Chad took leave of absence from his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University to enlist in the Army National Guard in 2007. He completed his BS in Marketing, and later served in the Horn of Africa in 2012. In 2013, he completed a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, with 25% of the degree completed while overseas with the Army. He studied graduate level economics at the University of San Francisco and business analytics at Temple University; finishing out his academic studies with a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been advocating for veterans on the issue of burn pits and toxic exposures since 2016, and traveled to Capitol Hill and the White House in 2019.
