Chris was born and raised in Potomac, MD. Prior to starting at Virginia Tech in 2009 he enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves where he served as a mortarman and later as a fire direction center chief. After completing his B.S. in biochemistry, he went on to pursue his M.S. in life science from Virginia Tech where he conducted research analyzing the connection between oral bacteria and the progression of colorectal cancer.
Following the completion of his master’s degree, Chris spent time traveling through Europe and Asia and thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. Since then he has moved to Cambridge, MA where he works for LifeMine Therapeutics and is preparing to apply to medical school.
