Ermin Mujezinovic graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 2012 with a BA in International Studies, History and minor in Spanish. Following graduation, Ermin commissioned as an active-duty officer into the US Army Infantry as a platoon leader and deployed to Korea. In 2016, Ermin joined US Army SOF Civil Affairs and served as a Team Leader and Deputy CMOC Cheif with deployments to the Balkans and Germany. Ermin will be attending Columbia University in Fall 2021 to pursue his Regional Studies degree at Harriman Institute. Following graduate school, Ermin will be teaching Russian and the United State Military Academy. Ermin is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina and moved to the U.S. as a war refugee. At VMI Ermin was a NCAA DI track and cross country athlete. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, hiking, spending time with his family, and is a avid runner.
