Evan Wollen

LTC (ret.) Evan H. Wollen was commissioned in 1994 as a Field Artillery officer upon graduation from Amherst College in Amherst, MA and the ROTC program at the University of Massachusetts. He served in a variety for Field Artillery assignments over his career, and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Evan trained as an academic World War I Historian and served as a Professor of History at the United States Military Academy and Deputy Director of the U.S. Army’s Combat Studies Institute. A native of the great state of New Jersey, he was the 35th Professor of Military Science at Claremont McKenna College before retiring in October, 2016. Evan currently runs the Claremont McKenna College Sponsored Experiences Program and is also a World Rugby Board Licensed Rugby Educator.
