Freddy Rodriguez

Freddy graduated high school in 2001 and immediately enlisted in the Army as an active duty Infantry soldier. While on active duty, he completed his undergraduate degree in psychology and currently holds the rank of Sergeant First Class. He has served over 15 years and has completed four yearlong deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 4th Infantry Division, as well as Operation Enduring Freedom with the 1st Infantry Division. He served as an Infantry Drill Sergeant for two years at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He graduated from the U.S. Army Sniper School, as well as the U.S. Army Airborne School. He led soldiers in numerous intense combat operations as an Infantry Fire Team Leader, as well as serving as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant in his latter deployments. He is a Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) alumnus (Harvard 2016), a WSP Ambassador and was recently accepted to the Masters of Social Work program at Columbia University. Freddy aspires to gain acceptance into law school upon retirement with a concentration in constitutional law.
