Gabrielle McColgan has worked in college admission counseling since 2000 and at Castilleja School since 2014 where she is the Director of College Counseling & Upper School Academic Policy. Ms. McColgan served as Assistant Director of Admission at both the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Stanford University before moving to college counseling posts as Associate Director of College Counseling at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School, San Juan Capistrano, and College Counselor and Director of College Counseling at Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Music in Vocal Performance. She volunteers as a college coach with Breakthrough Silicon Valley and is a regular presenter at workshops and conferences hosted by the National and Western Associations of College Admission Counseling where she has served as an Assembly Delegate and currently supports the WACAC Government Relations & Advocacy Committee. She is an avid gardener, puzzler, singer, and pianist who is currently working towards her goal of visiting every U.S. national park.
