Joseph (Joey) Ramos grew up in Sachse, Texas (just outside of Dallas) and is currently a part of the McCombs Class of 2021, Hook’em! He graduated from the United States Military Academy as a part of the Class of 2013 where he majored in International History. Upon graduation he was commissioned into the Field Artillery Branch and arrived at his first duty station of Fort Riley, Kansas with the 1st Infantry Division (4th and 1st brigades). His assignments included fire support officer at the company and brigade level, as well as a fire direction officer, and battalion adjutant. He deployed to East Africa (2014-2015) and South Korea (2016-2017) while stationed at Fort Riley. Upon return and completion of the field artillery captains career course, and promotion to captain, he served as the assistant operations officer for the 82nd Airborne Division Artillery prior to transitioning out of service.
