Josef Danczuk is from the small town of Durham, Connecticut. He studied history and political science at the University of Maryland, completing the Army ROTC program. Joe served as an Active Duty Air Defense Artillery Officer for four and a half years, spending most of that time stationed in Germany. There, he served as a Platoon Leader and battalion tactics officer in a Patriot battalion. In early 2020, Joe transitioned from Active Duty to the New York Army National Guard, where he continues to serve and most recently supported the National Guard response in Washington D.C. in January 2021. He started law school at Columbia Law School in fall 2020. Joe is now starting his second year of law school, is set to graduate in 2023, and is looking forward to working with other transitioning veterans interested in studying law.
