Kerry Hare is a first year graduate student in Vanderbilt University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. In 2011, she commissioned as a signal officer through Illinois State University’s Army ROTC with a B.S. in Psychology. Kerry completed nine and half years in the Army with time in military police, expeditionary signal, and aviation units. Notably Kerry served as a company commander during a 30-month station in Korea accompanied by her toddler as a single parent. She transitioned out of service from Chicago, Illinois while assigned as an assistant military science professor at Loyola University Chicago. Kerry’s current focus areas are interdisciplinary health equity, resiliency, and trauma- & grief- informed client advocacy.
