Kyle Ames

Upon graduation from the Air Force Academy in 2011, Kyle served in the Air Force as an intelligence officer primarily up in in Alaska at Elmendorf Air Force Base supporting two F-22 squadrons, the 90 FS and the 525 FS. While supporting the F-22s, he deployed twice to support the early deployment of the Raptor. Kyle left the Air Force after five years to pursue a career in social justice. Upon separation, he served a full-time social worker at Covenant House Alaska, a youth homeless shelter up in Anchorage. While there, he led a youth transitional living program to help work age youth learn how to live independently. After a year and a half, Kyle sought out opportunities in public policy and found his way back to the lower 48 to serve the state of Wisconsin as a civil servant. In the State Budget Office, he advised the Governor of Wisconsin on public health and Medicaid policy to support the impoverished of Wisconsin. Kyle is pursuing a dual MPH/MBA degree at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, a 2.5 year program, to further this initiative to create social impact through enterprise.
