Mark Hanabury

Mark grew up in Salem, VA and graduated from Davidson College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. After commissioning into the Army’s Engineer branch, he completed Army Dive School at the Naval Dive and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC) in Panama City Beach, FL. In his first assignment, Mark served as the Executive Officer for the 544th Engineer Dive Detachment and deployed to Fort Hamilton, New York as part of the DODs response to Hurricane Sandy and to dams and waterfront facilities nationwide in support of the Army Corps of Engineers. In his second assignment he served as the Commander of the 569th Engineer Dive Detachment, deploying to CENTCOM in support of Operations Spartan Shield and Inherent Resolve. Most recently, Mark served as an Operations Officer with the 92nd Engineer Battalion. Mark will be joining the class of 2021 at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia in August 2019.
