Mike McGetrick is currently a joint MBA-MPP at MIT’s Sloan School of Management and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. In 2013, Mike graduated from Villanova University with a degree in Chemistry and was commissioned as a submarine officer in the Navy. Upon graduation, he briefly served in the Office of Defense Cooperation in the US Embassy in Berlin. He then completed a variety of training schools before serving for three years on board the USS Tucson, a Los Angeles Class fast-attack submarine homeported in Pearl Harbor, HI. While onboard, Mike deployed to the Western Pacific twice. His final active-duty tour in the Navy was as a congressional liaison. While in Washington, DC, he simultaneously obtained a master’s degree from the US Naval War College in Defense and Strategic Studies with a concentration in the Asia-Pacific region. Mike continues to serve in the Navy Reserve.
