Patrick Franks

Patrick Franks is a PhD candidate in mechanical engineering at Stanford University. Patrick builds and tests wearable robots, namely exoskeletons, as part of a project supported by the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center. He received his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at Northwestern University, where his undergraduate research focused on prosthetic devices and rehabilitation.

Patrick enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and rock climbing, and is an assistant coach for the Stanford men’s club lacrosse team.
