Scott is a graduate of Colgate University where he was a nationally-ranked Division 1 wrestler and a U.S. Olympic Team Training Camp invitee. He received his J.D. in 1980 from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (Franklin Pierce Law Center), joining family members in private practice in his hometown of Saratoga Springs, New York. He later served as a military prosecutor with the U.S. Army Reserve’s 77th ARCOM, 50th JAG Detachment-Court Martial Trial Team. In 2011, he was appointed a Special Prosecutor and Assistant District Attorney with the Saratoga County (NY) District Attorney’s Office. Scott is a charter member of and the Judge Advocate to the Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard Association where he was recognized by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for 1,000 hours of volunteer service. He is also a volunteer mentor with the Saratoga County Veterans Peer Connection and the founder of the Saratoga Veterans Chorus.
