Tommy Ott grew up in eastern Pennsylvania. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management. Upon graduation, he commissioned as an Aviation Officer and served eight years on active duty in various leadership roles and as a pilot flying UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters. He was first assigned to Hunter Army Airfield, GA where he served as a company executive officer, aviation maintenance platoon leader, flight platoon leader, and assistant operations officer in the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade. He deployed to Afghanistan for seven months, serving as a pilot-in-command and air mission commander. Shortly after his return, he attended the Logistics Captain’s Career Course in Fort Lee, VA. After the career course, he was assigned to the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Bragg, NC where he served as an aviation maintenance company commander for 18 months. Tommy will be pursuing an MBA at Cornell’s SC Johnson Graduate School of Management as a Roy H. Park Leadership Fellow. He is married to his wife, Savannah, and they are proud parents of their daughter, Hayden Grace.
