Timothy Brunstetter

Tim is a native of Winston-Salem, NC. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 2005 and served as an infantry squad leader in 2d Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) Company and 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment. He commissioned through the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program in 2012 after receiving a B.A. in History (Magna Cum Laude) and a minor in Middle East Studies from North Carolina State University.

After being designated as a Field Artillery Officer, Tim served with 2nd Battalion 10th Marine Regiment at Camp Lejeune, NC as a Fire Direction Officer, Platoon Commander, Battery Executive Officer, and Fire Support Officer. Upon departing Camp Lejeune, Tim completed the US Army’s Field Artillery Captains Career Course, from which he graduated on the Commandant’s List.

In addition to being a full-time MBA candidate at Yale SOM, Tim currently serves as the Marine Officer Instructor of the Naval ROTC unit at Yale University. He intends to remain on active duty after graduating from SOM, and is interested in general management after he retires from the Marine Corps.
