Tom was born in Minneapolis, MN and grew up around Washington DC. Shortly after high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served as a Civil Affairs Marine, deployed to Helmand, Afghanistan, and was promoted to Sergeant prior to the end of his service. Tom graduated from Columbia University in 2016 and has since worked in the financial services industry. He has spent the last several years becoming familiar with not only college admissions, but also understanding the unique challenges veterans face in transitioning out of the service and entering the civilian workforce. He is available to discuss college admissions, choosing a major, deciding on a career after the military and adapting to the challenges of corporate recruiting.
