Chief Executive Officer

Andrea N. Goldstein believes in the transformative power of education. She served on active duty in the US Navy from 2009 to 2016 as an intelligence officer, and currently serves as a Navy Reservist. She is an expert in the field of security sector reform and bridging civil-military dialogues.  She was a founding contributor to the veterans’ news and culture blog Task & Purpose, where she has written extensively about retention, gender, and military culture and policy. Her work has also been featured in the US Naval Institute’s Proceedings, CNAS, Fletcher Forum of World Affairs, War Horse, Business Insider, and various peer-reviewed professional journals. A former Service to School applicant and ambassador, she is a Pat Tillman Scholar and graduate of the University of Chicago (B.A., Hons.), and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University (MALD).

Chief Operating Officer

Christine Schwartz is a former Army officer and military spouse who is passionate about supporting and enabling veterans as they enter a new phase of their life. Since transitioning from active duty, Christine has worked in the technology sector managing programs at both start-ups and non-profits. She specializes in process improvement, organizational strategy, and talent management. Christine earned her undergraduate degree in Business Management from Virginia Tech and holds a Masters Certificate in Applied Intelligence from Mercyhurst University.

VetLink Program Manager

Jim Selbe is a 20-year Marine Corps veteran who holds an M.Ed. in Counseling and Personnel Services, University Of Maryland College Park, and a B.S. in Management, National Louis University.

Jim’s previous positions include Senior Vice President for Military Programs at the University of Maryland University College; Vice President for Lifelong Learning at the American Council on Education; and Regional Director for Troops to Teachers in Virginia

Undergraduate Ambassador Leader

Erin Beherendt is a human resources professional and military spouse with an MPS from Penn State University and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin. She specializes in employee and organizational development to help individuals and organizations improve performance and reach their goals. As a volunteer on the Undergraduate Operations team, Erin manages the applicant and ambassador pairing process. Past related roles include Director, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society – Okinawa and Family Readiness Program Trainer, Marine Corps Family Team Building, MCCS – Okinawa.

MBA Operations Team

David Lee graduated from the University of Michigan and went on to serve as a Marine artillery officer and joint terminal attack controller with 1st Battalion, 12th Marines and 3rd Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company. He will be an MBA candidate at the Stanford Graduate School of Business starting in the fall of 2017.

Brendan Aronson is a Naval Academy graduate and current Marine infantry officer. He has completed two deployments, first as a rifle platoon commander to Okinawa, Japan, then as an advisor to Iraq. He looks forward to pursuing an MBA in the Fall of 2018.

Matt Nilles graduated from George Mason University and went on to serve as an Army Aviation officer. Following a 12-month deployment to Iraq, Matt assessed and was selected for the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment in 2011.  He has since served as a Special Operations fully mission qualified Pilot, Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Staff officer, and Commander. Currently delayed from attending business school, Matt looks forwarding to beginning in the fall of 2018.

Law School Operations Team

David Thompson is a juris doctor candidate at Washington & Lee School of Law focusing on International Human Rights Law with a BS in Economics and MBA-Leadership from Liberty University.  He is a Veterans4Diplomacy Fellow.

Andrew Webber is a West Point graduate from Washington State. He served a total of three years in Iraq and Afghanistan, plus consecutive tours of duty in Germany, and operational deployments throughout Africa and Europe. He lives with his wife and daughter in Chicago, where he attends Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

Michael David Stinnett-Kassoff served eight years in the Navy.  He served on two deployments to the Persian Gulf and one off the coast of Japan. Michael attended Boston University where he double majored in Political Science and International Relations with a minor in History.  Michael is currently in his second year at Washington and Lee University School of Law.

John Casey, Stanford Law and currently an attorney with Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich, & Rosati.

Chief Technology Officer

Tad Hickman, Manager at Facebook. Thadeus commissioned as an infantry officer after graduating from West Point with a degree in computer science. Thadeus transitioned to the Signal Corps for the last two years of his time in active duty.

Chief Financial Officer

John Powell, Marine Corps officer and a Stanford GSB MBA student pursuing a joint degree at the Harvard Kennedy School.
