Incredible Generosity + Free Education = Opportunity for Veterans
What an amazing opportunity! The Denver Post recently reported that two Colorado schools, Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado, are offering eligible veterans 100% of tuition, all university fees, a $4,300 allowance toward housing, and $1,000 towards books for undergraduate schooling.
Who is eligible? Any veteran who qualifies for education benefits. That is, those who served a total of 36 months of active duty since 10 Sep 2001, or were honorably discharged due to a service-connected disability after at least 30 days’ service, or are an eligible dependent.
While school cost is extremely important, keep in mind that you should still weigh other factors when deciding on a school. Besides cost, consider what type of work you want to do post-graduation and what is best for your family. This opportunity, though, is unbelievable. Kudos to CSU and U Northern Colorado for their incredible generosity. The Rams and The Bears have some new fans here at Service to School.
