What is Service to School?

S2S is a non-profit organization created by veterans. Service to School (S2S) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides free college and grad school application counseling to U.S. military Veterans and Service Members.

Is S2S a school?

No, S2S is not a school. Service to School (S2S) is a non-profit organization created by veterans. It exclusively provides free college and grad school application counseling to U.S. military veterans and service members.

Who is eligible for our program?

To be eligible for the program, you must be a United States military service member or veteran, including reservists or guardsmen. Academy cadets may be eligible on a case-by-case basis.

Who is not eligible for our program?

However, military veterans from foreign services and U.S. military dependents are not eligible.

What programs do you support?

S2S offers five distinct programs intended for students looking for different types of undergraduate and graduate-level education.  The undergraduate program is open to high school graduates or those with equivalent qualifications. The MBA and JD/Law programs are suitable for those who are interested in graduate-level business and law degrees, respectively. The Healthcare Professionals Program is designed for applicants who want to pursue graduate-level medical degrees such as physician assistant, nursing, medical school, and dental school. Lastly, the Other Graduates Program is available to students interested in seeking other types of graduate-level degrees not covered by the other four programs.

How do I submit my VetLink Addendum? 

Send it to your S2S Staff Advisor. They will review the addendum for any necessary changes before signing and sending it to our Partner Schools. Your S2S Staff Advisor that MUST sign and send your VetLink Addendum to Partner Schools.

What is the difference between your S2S Staff Advisor and your S2S ambassador?

Your staff advisor is a full-time S2S staff member who conducted your initial orientation. Your ambassador is a mentor assigned to you by an S2S staff member.

What is Vetlink? 

Service to School has partnered with select colleges and universities to form VetLink, a network of schools committed to expanding access and opportunity for student veterans.  Our partner colleges are widely known for academic excellence, aspiring students, leading-edge research, and high graduation rates.

Service to School works with our partner colleges to create awareness of how a veteran’s military service has prepared them for success in academia. This one-of-a-kind collaboration between Service to School and our partner colleges unifies the respective strengths of each to serve student veterans more effectively than either could alone.

How can a college or university become a Vetlink Partnered undergraduate school?

Potential VetLink partners must meet the following requirements:

  • Be Title IV eligible

  • Operate as a non-profit institution

  • Hold Regional Accreditation

  • Consistently graduate 70 percent or more of first-time, full-time students in six years.

  • Deliver majority of undergraduate programs and instruction on a physical campus.
