University of South Carolina Announces Partnership with S2S’s VetLink Program

University of South Carolina’s Department of Veterans and Military Affairs recently partnered with Service to School, a non-profit organization that offers application counseling to service members and veterans wanting to gain admission to the best schools in the country. The organizations partners applicants with peer advisors or mentors, to assist in the application process, review essays, prepare for school interviews, and help in networking opportunities.

Two members of our team, Synithia Weaver and Villardine Goode, attended the VetLink Summit in Chicago, Illinois hosted by the University of Chicago. There they were able to listen to firsthand testimonials from student veterans who have successfully completed the program and have been admitted to some of the most prestigious schools in the country.

They have all touted the benefits of Service 2 School and how it helped build their confidence in knowing they belong in the spaces that they’re in and their experience in the military provides valuable knowledge in the classroom. They were also able to listen to college representatives’ goals for their institution as it relates to the veteran experience.

We are proud of this partnership and stand ready to assist our veteran population in reaching their academic goals and provide top tier learning experience along their journey. With this partnership, USC becomes the first major educational partner in the Southeast and the second academic partner in the SEC.
