Nathan Keller
Nathan is from San Jose, CA and received his B.S. in Justice Studies from San Jose State University. After undergrad, he enlisted in the Marine Corps as an Infantry Rifleman, serving two years in nuclear weapons security and two as an Infantry Squad Leader with Easy Company, 2/7 at Twentynine Palms. While stationed at Twentynine Palms, he deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. He separated from the Marine Corps in 2016 and attended law school at UC Berkeley, graduating in 2019.
Nate’s Veteran applicant shared some inspiring words on the impacts of his mentorship: “Nate's genuine care, positive approach, and terrific support was tantamount to my success in this year's law school application cycle. Despite my low LSAT score, Nate recognized my potential and believed in me. He took time to get to know me, hear my story, put me in touch with a variety of people and their perspectives and continually pushed me to help me realize how to fully bring it out for all the admissions committees to read. Our common bond as Marines helped feed my motivation to achieve my dreams. Seeing his own success and hard work, even when raising a newborn child, was absolutely incredible. Nate's dedication formed the foundation of my confidence knowing that I would be able to attend the law school where I was meant to be. His dedication was an inspiration and reflection of what I know the military community to be and what I hoped the legal community would embody.” – Anthony Cardon, University of San Diego School of Law, Fall 2022
