Paying For School

Service to School is proud to work with Federal Student Aid to bring clarity and awareness to the financial aid process for student veterans. Even though you have access to your GI Bill, you are still eligible for federal aid. In fact, completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid can even help you maximize your GI Bill.

Remember that aid is available to you at every step of your journey, whether you are at a community college, a 4-year school, or even a graduate program. If you know you want to use financial aid to go to school, but you don't know where you want to go or when you want to start, you can use the aid estimator to get a clearer picture of the aid you might expect in order to make a decision.

You are also able to submit the FAFSA and make changes after, too. This might come in handy if you are separating and looking to get a sense of the financial aid that is available to you. You can always explain changes to your financial aid picture after you've already submitted your FAFSA, which could further affect the amount of aid you receive.

With improvements in processing, the FAFSA takes only minutes to fill out. It's well worth your time in order to make the next step in your educational journey affordable.
