What did you do in the military? Marine Corps Amphibious Assault Vehicle Crew Chief

What was your proudest accomplishment in the military? Winning the pancake eating contest. After that…Making Sergeant.

How did you hear about S2S? Online.

What was the best part of S2S for you? Having a great mentor who I could relate to and who was there for me day and night to answer all my questions and give good advice on various topics.

Why did you decide to pursue college? Has always been a goal of mine.

How has the transition been from the military to civilian life? It has been a strange transition because of the way things are now with the virus but I am enjoying the civilian life a lot.

What are you most excited about in regard to starting college/ the school you are going to attend? I spent four years stationed in the Mojave Desert in California. I look forward to being in the beautiful green mountains of Western North Carolina.

What is your favorite part about the school you chose to matriculate at? The mountains and nearby parks and forests to recreate in.

What advice would you give to future applicants? Use the S2S mentors and ask a lot of questions. There are many things that are specific to military folks about school and the VA and transitioning that are hard to find info on through just research so ask your mentor.

What are your goals post-graduation? Begin my career.
