What was your proudest accomplishment in the military? Being awarded the US Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal
How did you hear about S2S? I heard of S2S while attending the Warrior Scholar Project
What was the best part of S2S for you? The best part of S2S was receiving valuable feedback on college essays
Why did you decide to pursue college? I decided to pursue college in order to gain the education I need to become a software engineer.
How has the transition been from the military to civilian life? Transitioning from the military has been an exciting, busy, and stressful process.
What are you most excited about in regard to starting college/the school you are going to attend? I am most excited about attending Brown because of their reputation for excellence and quality education. My favorite thing about the school so far is their robust computer science program and how much freedom they give for choosing an area of focus.
What advice would you give to future applicants? My best advise to future applicants would be to apply to as many schools as you are interested in and to never think you won’t be competitive in the admissions process.
What are your goals post-graduation? My post education goals are to be a software engineer for a financial institution. I hope to apply concepts such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for continuous improvement within the financial sector.
