Andrea Henshall
Andrea Henshall is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant in the department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She earned her BS in Astronautical Engineering from the US Air Force Academy, her MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, and her MS in Computer Science from Auburn University. During her 14 years in the Air Force, Andrea served as a Special Operations instructor pilot and completed seven tours of combat.
In addition to being a Service to Schools Ambassador, Andrea is a Warrior Scholar Program mentor and panelist. As a Graduate Application Assistance Program (GAAP) mentor for the department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT, she guides underrepresented applicants through the admissions process. Andrea also serves as an Educational Counselor (EC) for MIT, interviewing undergraduate applicants and providing recommendations to the admissions board.
