Alexander Read

Alex graduated from The University of Chicago in 2013 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Germanic Studies. Between graduation and starting his service, he worked as an undergraduate Admissions Officer at the University of Chicago. Following his commissioning, he was assigned to 2d Battalion, 4th Marines where he served as a platoon commander and staff assistant. Alex deployed on the 31st MEU and later worked on long-term amphibious doctrine integration projects with the Australian Defense Forces. After leaving active duty, Alex attended law school at the University of Maine School of Law. He is currently a lawyer in Maine and a Judge Advocate in the Maine Army National Guard.
